What allergy symptoms does Alavert relieve?
All Alavert products relieve sneezing, runny nose, itchy, watery eyes and itching of the nose and throat. Alavert Allergy & Sinus also relieves sinus pressure and nasal congestion, helping to restore freer breathing.

Will Alavert make me sleepy?
Alavert is a non-drowsy allergy medicine, when taken as directed. Taking more than recommended may cause drowsiness. First-generation antihistamines, like Benadryl^®, can cause sleepiness. Alavert is an advancement in non-prescription allergy medicine.

How is Alavert different from other non-prescription allergy medicines that I may have used in the past?
Before December 2002, you needed to obtain a prescription from your physician for a non-drowsy allergy medicine. Now, with Alavert you can obtain prescription strength, non-drowsy, long-lasting (12 or 24 hour) allergy relief without a prescription. Also, Alavert is available in a convenient, quick dissolving tablet that melts in your mouth without water, so you can take it right when you need it, wherever you are.

Does this product contain caffeine, eggs, sucrose, nuts, gelatin, or gluten?
Alavert does not contain any of these ingredients.

Quick Dissolving Alavert provides 24 hours of allergy relief. Alavert Allergy & Sinus provides 12 hours of relief.

What is loratadine?
Loratadine is a non-sedating antihistamine and is the active ingredient in Alavert. It was introduced as a prescription product in 1992, and was approved for over the counter (non-prescription) use by the FDA in 2002.
